Short description:

The project involves the construction of an oil pipeline from Brody (Ukraine) to Adamowa Zastava (Poland) to connect the Ukrainian and Polish oil transportation systems. The pipeline will be able to operate bilaterally. This project will allow Ukraine to access Baltic ports and Poland to access Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea.

The project is being implemented within the framework of the International Pipeline Enterprise "Sarmatia”.

Technical characteristics

Total length of the pipeline: 396.3 km (Ukraine - 125.7 km, Poland - 270.6 km)

The design capacity of the pipeline is 10 million tons per year.

Actual transportation volumes will be determined by the needs of target markets and consumers

    Planning

    In 2018, the project feasibility study was prepared; the pipeline route was selected and included in local land use plans (LUPs); environmental permits were obtained; a permit for the construction of the first valve was obtained; technical conditions for the pipeline's intersection with existing infrastructure were agreed upon; and measures were taken to prepare a construction project.

Estimated cost: the total investment is estimated at around EUR 450 million (in 2022 prices).
