Hungary
The project serves the objectives of the current national energy strategy, which is primarily based on sustainability, meeting the strict EU climate policy requirements.
The MVM Group has considerable amount of wind and PV power capacity. The Group’s portfolio of projects already realised is about 200MW power output. Due to the Group’s acquisition strategy, a sizeable enlargement is foreseen in the near future, and considerable investments have been made within the framework of the Group’s own development plan. In the coming 1-3 years new PV investments are foreseen, reaching the capacity of 130-260 MW capacity.
- Planning
The sites suitable for the establishment of the investments have been selected, the plots will be utilized on a rental basis. The KÁT (mandatory take-off system) sales rights are available, the feasibility study and the small power plant permitting procedure are being prepared. The funding structure of the investment is under negotiation, a potential involvement of an EU subsidy would effect the volume of the investment.
- Planning
The timetable depends on the finalization date of the funding structure. In 2020 the funding structure may be negotiated and the necessary permits obtained. The expected construction phase is in 2021-2022.
