Development of the TEN-T Baltic Sea – Black Sea – Aegean Sea corridor with the construction of a 1435 mm gauge track on the territory of Ukraine

The updated indicative TEN-T maps provide for the expansion of the network to the territory of Ukraine and Moldova with the extension of the TEN-T Baltic Sea - Black Sea - Aegean Sea corridor through Lviv and Chernivtsi to the ports of the Black and Aegean Seas, as well as from Lviv through Khmelnytskyi to Odesa.
The development of the TEN-T corridor Baltic Sea - Black Sea - Aegean Sea will contribute to the expansion of the possibilities of transport corridors and the movement of goods and services, will stimulate the development of transit transport and will allow to optimize the railway route from the Baltic countries to Romania and Black Sea ports.
In the future, it is also planned to build a track with a width of 1435 mm on the Ternopil - Odesa section (614 km).

Currently, preparations are underway for the design of the construction of a 1435 mm track with electrification on the section Lviv - Chernivtsi - Vadul-Siret - State border (314 km)
- 2024-2030Planning
In the future, it is also planned to build a track with a width of 1435 mm on the Ternopil - Odesa section (614 km).
