Energy storage systems in 100 MW batteries

Considering our perspective of promoting green and clean energy, battery energy storage systems are the appropriate technologies to ensure the balance of the system in Moldova with zero greenhouse gas emissions.

Another important consideration is the flexibility of the electricity system, which is limited and restricts the development of large-scale RES. The integration of large-scale RES installations in Moldova will require significant changes in the operational practices of the utilities. The grid will need additional flexibility in the generation mix, as well as large-scale battery energy storage and efficient demand-side management tools.
